So I have decided to get a second monitor for a dual monitor setup (and upgrade my primary monitor at the same time), however there are a lot of choices, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of information about monitors like there are TV's. I don't have a huge budget, so something around the $100 to $150 range will have to do. I also don't need anything huge, since my desk is on the smaller side and I need the space for the other monitor. I don't know what brands are regarded as better than others, or if getting a cheaper IPS monitor is worth it. I just need it for web browsing, watching mostly GB videos, and some gaming. The cheaper the monitor without a huge sacrifice in quality the better. Here are a few that I have been looking at:
