I posted my impressions of the game in the demo impressions thread a few weeks back and they basically haven't changed with the full release of the game. I'm not used to playing "games like this" (which I could only describe as pandering heaven?), but I can say that it's pretty stupid. Fortunately, I guess, it's not the kind of stupid that makes me disgusted to play it (for the most part), but the kind of stupid where it just goes for... whatever it's going for, without hesitation, and that makes it ridiculous to a point where it's all just funny. I suppose Atlus's localization team should be responsible for a lot of that.

Actually most of the screens you posted are pretty much like their Japanese counterparts. The game knows it's stupid and it plays up the camp as much as it can.

That's good, then. At least the Japanese version doesn't play things totally straightforward, which I had heard the first game was particularly good at achieving.

Unsurprisingly, reading reviews of this game by mainstream games journalists and then reading the comments for said review is a great way to question why you spend time on the internet.

"Charm" is a good way of describing my reaction to those screenshots. Assuming continual, blatant sexual innuendo is charming. That being said you know I will inevitably end up with this game at one point or another, given my propensity for junk.

You haven't gotten to the man on man action yet? That was the funniest thing in the game.

The game is full of stupid campy humor, but fuck it I am having some good dumb fun. The RPG elements are stupid easy for how convoluted the systems are though.

I've heard that the system actually requires attention and knowledge later on when fights get more complicated but, yeah, right now things are really easy.

I don't know if you know this but the Vita does, in fact, have a screenshot button, which should make this super easy.

That's awesome to hear! I just got to chapter 2 and I hope the game is long and gets hard. I also really dont understand why I would replace children that i made since they level up, or why i would use more than one lady with me.

Yeah, I don't see the benefit in switching disciples so far (I'm still only about 4 hours in), but I think granting Star Children independence when they reach max level is supposed to be important, so they would need to be replaced in those cases.

Seeing the picture @demoskinos posted reminded me o mention that people playing this game should keep an extra save before the final dungeon as there's free Monokuma battle DLC coming

@fluxwavez: been a while since I played this but I believe you can "release" children that have star next to their level (I think it means they have maxed out) to level up the facilities in the city.

Yeah, that's what the granting them independence is. One would also probably want to replace Star Children when the more advance Classmating ritual is unlocked, which I think is a thing.

Do you get bonuses for the level of the girl you classmate with? That might be the reason to use others. Im rolling with Fuuka atm but Chloe seems cool and I know more ladies unlock later

The level of innuendo in those screenshots rivals that of Ar Tonelico's. Is this game a lot like Persona 3? I saw some screenshots that look like they might've been from a Persona game; especially one of an overhead map of a city with dates and shit.

Having not played this game, I think it goes just over the line between pandering and humorous. It's obviously trying to be funny--it's just trying way too hard and failing, outside of being really absurd. I can understand the appeal, I guess, but...

Of course, the combat is SUPER BORING, so I don't have to play it anyway!

Atlus is definitely aware of the stupidity in this game (I mean that in the best way possible), at one point I was able to choose "I ain't afraid of no ghosts" as a response to a question. Though I cant shake my head hard enough at the both of the Classmating songs.

Seems like this is a firm case of "because Japan" which there isn't nearly enough of in games these days
