I hate vibrating remotes while I'm playing games. It's annoying as hell.
Might think of reconsidering when I get my PS3 in June though.
Contextual Controller Rumble
Concept »
Although force feedback is often used in games to indicate such commonalities as when a player character is taking damage or feeling weapon recoil, it is sometimes used in more creative ways, such as providing hints to finding an item or providing emphasis during an otherwise non-interactive cinematic sequence. These games feature more creative uses of rumble than the norm.
Do you play games with the vibration on?
Only if it is set to 'on' by default. I don't care one way or the other and I don't bother setting it to 'off'.
Never not vibrating.
Maybe we can play some games together sometime? I'll pay for the movies?Yes, and I also play with the controller down my pants.

Yes, and I enjoy its feel. It's as though something is lacking when it's not on.
Me too.;) My girlfriend is lacking when it's not on.:/
I am largely indifferent towards it. If it is on by default, I leave it on. If it is off by default I don't bother turning it on.
Absolutely! Anything else feels wrong, and it actually throws me off a little. Every few weeks my 360 controller will run low on battery and stop vibrating, it drives me nuts.
My last Xbox 360 controller (just replaced it) had a dead battery pack. I could only use that controller by keeping it plugged in with the Play and Charge Kit at all times. That controller never vibrated, I'm guessing because it didn't have enough power in the battery at any one time. I got used to it. Vibration is one of those things you don't notice are there until they aren't anymore.
Yeah, when the option is there I have it on. At times you come across games that use it effectively, but few do it bad in a way that's annoying, so the pros outweigh the cons for me.
I wish I could turn it off in Civilization 4 though. Even though it doesn't have controller support, if my 360 controller is connected the controller will shake violently whenever I click menu items, which is just weird, as there's no other vibration feedback in the game.
