Just putting up a reminder that Counter-strike Go went on pre-purchase on steam.

But they hid it in the counter-strike bundle they have on sale right now.

Also pre-purchases are 10%off and they get access to the beta in one week, which at that point is just pretty much early access, but it is something.

Edit: Guess is wasn't hidden, My store just hadn't updated the magic revolving 10 game window thingy at the top of the store.

You're forgetting that there will be bunch on new player's when CS:GO comes out. They probably haven't touched a CS game ever, so you'll be fine. For a month or two at least.

@Sackmanjones: I'd give it a try. I never really enjoyed (or was good at) CS 1.6 or CS:Source, but GO was actually a fun game.

I was a big fan of CS 1.6 and an even bigger fan of CS:S (probably put around 200 hours into it); but I really didn't enjoy the CS:GO beta... I was so fucking excited for it too, you have no idea.

And a lot of people who haven't played counter-strike in ages who will be returning. I haven't played counter-strike since like a few months after the release of counter-strike source.

It's even worse than Source, and that's saying something. They really just dunno how to get that 1.6 feel and without it, it'll just not have that lasting appeal. There's a reason 1.6 is still one of the most played games out there, 13 years later.. It's not new maps, new modes, or new graphics. Poor attempt, very poor.

Does anyone know if you get the PS3 version will you be able to download the PC version as well similar to Portal 2?

I just bought this today for 10% off. It's not much a discount, but I am pretty excited to play this game. I have been playing Combat Arms recently and am reminded of CS: Source constantly - so I was surprised to see CS: GO releasing soon.
