First encountered after the player leaves the Northern Undead Asylum, the Crestfallen Warrior sits next to the bonfire at the Firelink Shrine. If engaged in conversation he can provide a limited amount of information regarding Lordran and the players role in the story. As his name suggests his mood is perpetually gloomy & pessimistic. He does not trade with or provide any other service for the player.
He will leave Firelink Shrine shortly after the player rings the second Bell of Awakening and Kingseeker Frampt arrives. He can be found later as a hollow in the New Londo Ruins, attacking the player on sight. Note that killing him in the New Londo Ruins will allow for his shield to drop, attacking and killing him before he turns hollow will only reward you with a measly 1000 souls.
