At the time of writing Crytek have refused to respond to any of the points made above, and it’s pretty obvious why.

    That's the funniest part.

BTW, that's also pretty much how the Star-Trek techno-babble usually works. Mash a bunch of unrelated terms (pixel spread and Joule?!) and most people will nod "sagely" or just go "yeah, whatever, if you say so".

your first clue that this is a joke is in the picture where it points to a guy and has the figure 76% or 34 degrees of occlusion.

Dudes, I think you are all forgetting something. Today is the last day of March, we should be expecting a lot more stories like this tomorrow, that's why I'm planning to spend time on a local farm picking spaghetti from the spaghetti trees.

I really hope they actually sent these complaints to Crytek - or at least that Crytek sees them. I think they'd enjoy the humour in them.

Its a video game.  I swear some ppl on the PC rather QQ about crap and not play the actual game.

ZOMG!  This box only has 303420 pixels instead of 402302!!!1111  I don't care if the gameplay is better and the game is just more fun then the first one!  The angles of the world are all wrong!!!1234567890

While you sit there, butthurt and crying like a sorry sack of shit, Crytek is enjoying the spoils of "cutting corners" and "appeasing" the console market. Also I totally only read up to that part, and I'm assuming this is an April's fools thing so.....

It’s quite clear that massive compromises have been made in order to keep the console market happy, meaning the PC version of the game is crippled to the point where it’s literally impossible to look at without feeling physically sick

But it's not. The gameplay is a fucking abomination. Trying to compete with CoD was the most silly move Crytek could have made.

Hilarious.  The joke gave itself away with the last part though.  Even so, whoever did this is a genius.

Yeah, I read this the day it went up on RPS. I liked the obvious trolling with throwing together words that don't even mean anything to sound technical, but I didn't like them making light of the fact that Crysis 2 being worse than Crysis 1 is actually a real issue.

what about analyzing every fucking FPS game that way? do you think Crisis 2 is special because it uses Crytek engine 3.0? I don't believe that kind of stuff especially in video game. it's not hardware but software application for fun. why don't people start to compare with Battlefield 3 as well? this kind of data is useless.

Once again no one gets British humour. Also, Crysis 1 & 2 are both boring as fuck, it's gonna take more joules than that to make me interested in what they're selling.
