@Enigma777 lol what i bet you haven't noticed is that throughout the entire game, it's the only building that's not on fire or damaged

I noticed, though I didn't know what it was called at the time.

That is pretty good.

I guess it's kind of controversial subject. Included, don't include it, whatever. It was pretty cool to see in the game.

Excuse my Canadian ignorance, but what the heck is the Freedom Tower?

@supermike6: Memorial tower for the world trade centre.

Saw it on a Kotaku article a few days ago.

I thought it was pretty ballsy to include it, but it is roughly 15 years into the future, and hopefully the real Freedom Tower (corny name, but whatever) will be built by then. In reality, it'll probably never happen, so at least Crysis 2 has some optimism.

It's a big phallic invitation to the rest of the world to come bomb the area again. Also, it's a thing that doesn't actually exist. Apparently the developers wanted to include it because they think of NYC as a massive beacon of humanity's accomplishments that they wanted to pay tribute to. I guess I can kind of understand it, though I could not care less.

It's not officially called that anymore (it's now called One World Trade Center), but yeah it is still commonly referred to as that and it's a stupid name.

Nope

I grew up in New York. And enjoyed seeing the sights. Heavy metal cafe in place of the Hard Rock.

I saw the tower many times and easily made what it was referring to.

I'd like to thank you for using could not care less, as opposed to could care less.

All of the other buildings are named the same way (Two WTC, Three WTC, etc.).  It is kinda lame, but not nearly as bad as Freedom Tower.
