I just got an email from Crytek allowing me to sign up for the closed multiplayer beta on Xbox360. Who else has signed up for it? The infromation was so vague, but it looks like it's just for a chance to get in. Not guaranteed. I'd rather do a PC beta but I'll take what I can get.

Xbox 360 Closed Multiplayer Beta
Crysis 2 Xbox beta?
Wut?You'd think they would send it to PC people,oh well. When did you sign up on the new site,I heard a rumor saying that people that signed up early got a invitation.
"Hardly, it was a PC exclusive that is now coming to consoles, ergo, they need to test that shit out on consoles and make sure it's running smooth for launch, they don't even need to worry half as much about the PC version.Crysis 2 Xbox beta?

The phrasing in the email did say something like "Xbox only this round" so maybe they will be doing betas on other systems. I have both Xbox, PS3 and PC so maybe I can get in to all 3 betas. Don't forget though that Crytek dont have experience on consoles and Crytek UK only did a poor PS3 game for the current systems so a beta on consoles might be more useful for them to improve the service. They already know how PC multiplayer works.
An update straight from the mouth of Crytek, Cry-Lee:
Hi guys, just to clear something up, this is not the Beta that people signed up to the website for, that will be happening later. This is a Closed MP Test event.
This is mainly to 'stress test' our servers and to see how the game reacts to X amount of users playing it at once.If you do receive an email with an invitation, please make sure that you are able to participate, you will need:
An Xbox360
An Xbox Live Gold accountGood luck to everyone!
" @Axxol: MyCrysis.com, the 'other' beta they were talking about was for the first batch of people who signed up to the new site around E3. This one was emailed to members of the site who signed up whenever. Dont know if you'll get an invite if you sign up now though. "Yeah, I figured as much, but I want to check out the site anyway.
Let us know when your beta starts.
" @Axxol: It's not a great site. Has some good style but it was better before the re-design. I used to be a senior member there and one of the top posters but now... I stick to their other site, Crymod. "I don't want to post on forums, I want to see more videos. I think the EA site is what I should check out.
I just got the same email, and i clicked the link and it said "Application already Confirmed You have already registered your interest in the Crysis 2 Multiplayer Test".
I remember signing up for the beta, but any Xbox 360 specific stuff. Does the email guarantee that you get an invite?
@Forcen: I don't think so, no. You are signing up for a chance, I believe is the phrase used.
Also,it may or may not state that this only a stress test,a tech demo, behind closed doors, and the "real" beta is coming soon.
So I guess everybody will have a chance to see if they can run it or not.If it does run on my PC,I am getting it.
