Curly Monsters started life in 1998 when 6 ex-Psygnosis employees decided to start their own independent dev house. Based in Birkenhead, UK CurlyMonsters stayed as a small and tight development house until they were forced to close their doors in early 2003 due to lack of funds. At their peak Curly Monsters only employed 9 people. Two original games were created by Curly Monsters: N-Gen Racing for the Playstation 1 (published by Infogrames) and Quantum Redshift for the XBox (published by Microsoft).
The founders of Curly Monsters had previously worked on a number of hit titles for Psygnosis - Wipeout, WipeoutXL, Colony Wars, Codename:Tenka.
