Customize your own mini robot and duke it out against others in this crazy brawler for the Gamecube.

Overview

The game tells the story of a young man who is known only as Hero. The game tells the story of Hero's journey to fulfill his fathers dream of being a Robo Commander. Hero eventually gets his own robo and meets up with a group of bounty hunters known as "The Sacred Hearts." Soon after Hero learns the ways of Robo fighting, he and his friends gain knowledge of a self-guided robo called "Rahu." Hero and his friends then go on a journey to discover the secrets of Rahu's origin, while becoming great Robo Commanders along the way.

The gameplay that Custom Robo brings forth is rather dismal offering little to no adventure. The entire world is layed out so that navigation is easily followed enough so that younger children could easily walk from place to place, but making the game seem absolutely annoying leaving no room for exploration as you are confined to a track from location to location. Where you will be riddled with annoying cut scenes leaving the action far in the dust. The robot battles yet again save this game from being a complete bust. Each battle is fun and remotely new, giving you the customization options to change each weapon you wish to take into battle and even allowing you to change the model of the robot you fight with. When you defeat an emeny it is possible to win parts from them giving you more custom options giving the game some appeal to the hardcore gamer. Luckily completing the game will unlock first person mode which can be that much more enjoyable.
