A cyclops is any race of creature that is born with only one eye (having two eyes and poking one out doesn't count). Are they short sighted or all knowing?

From Ancient Greek mythology, namely the Theogony written by Hesiod in about 700BC. They were a race of giants sired by Gaia and Uranus (the powerful beings that also created the Titans), the first three brought into the world were Arges, Brontes, and Steropes.
