With about a week till the release Season 1 of D4 on PC, Access Games have gone ahead and released a demo!

    http://d4-game.com/pc/index.html

It's about 2.5gb and should be a good way to get an idea of how well optimised it is etc.

Oh also, the webpage was busted for me for a while, with another banner overlapping the download link, so if that happens to anybody else, the download is at http://tinyurl.com/nw8prpz

Here's a link to their news post on steam.

It's also coming to Playism which is cool.

They also posted a link to a social media blitz thing on release. I participated. I hope people will put their money where their mouth is! Support weird Japanese devs!

How is the performance of the demo for you guys?

EDIT: Was running on integrated graphics card instead of other graphics card, whoops. Game runs fine, lots of aliasing though!

On my 1000 dollar laptop it runs bad.

20 fps in the menus on 1080p

40 fps in the menus on 720p

sub 20 fps ingame regardless of resolution.

Only graphical options are Dynamic Shadows on/off, Vsync and resolution options that vary between 720p to 1080p.

The game doesn't look bad but it doesn't look great either. I'm having graphical glitches and jaggies all over the place.

    specs laptop:

    i7-4702MQ

    GTX 850M

    8 GB ram

@kewlsnake: Runs pretty okay on my build--well, the full game. 1080p, 50-60 FPS with some dips into the 40s, especially on those multi-cut shots.

    • AMD FX-8370E (clocked at 3.3ghz because my $10 motherboard can't take more)
    • SAPPHIRE FleX Radeon HD 7950
    • 8 GB of RAM

[edit] oh. good job using integrated, son!

Wow, this game came out on PC with no fanfare? Shame. I am still hoping it can be completed.
