My interest in Kinect 2.0 is the same as my interest in Kinect 1.0, somewhere around 14%.

My interest in any device with Dance Central software support gets an automatic interest level bump of 70%.

So my interest in the old Kinect stands at 84% while my interest of the new Kinect is at 14%.

If anyone at Harmonix is listening, I will buy a new Dance Central sight unseen. If anyone at Microsoft is listening, I will buy your console for Dance Central. If anyone in the Giant Bomb community is listening, am I overstating Dance Central's value?

No overstatement. Dance Central is one of the best Kinect things you can own.

What if instead of dancing, you were Fantasia-ing?

    Also, Bruno Mars was there.

I would totally buy Fantasia but it require me already owning an XBox One and I'm not even thinking about buying an XBox One until Dance Central is released (or at least announced and dated).

Nope. It was his brudder RICK!!

(the typos that I just noticed were his fault too)

Not overstating its value at all. I dont own it, mostly to spare the world the horror of me trying to dance. But its clear from the huge following (and the abilites of those who stream the game, and who CAN dance) that Dance Central is probably the most successful Kinect software for people older than 15, excluding the games that just use voice commands.

That said, I can sort of understand why they decided to do Fantasia instead - to get out of the rut of churning out sequels, and to get some time learning about the limits of the new Kinect.

For sure. I wouldn't be surprised that Fantasia is doubling as Dance Central 4 R&D.

I'm also curious if it will not end up being a straight sequel but something more like a Guitar Hero to Rock Band situation.

Perhaps Pop Central? Where you have to sing and dance?

FYI, Fantasia is also a 360 game so not really required to buy a Xbox One for that.

I wonder if they will try to make your DLC work cross gen. Harmonix has always thought of their later games as individual platforms.

Seems like dance central should be possible with the playstation camera now too, maybe that is part of the delay.

I'd buy a "Hatsune Miku X Dance Central" game. Just leaving that here for Harmonix developers if they ever catch wind of this thread.

@itwongo: Dance Central is the only thing worth playing on Kinect, IMO.

If a new and improved Dance Central were to be released for Kinect 2 tomorrow, I'd actually consider buying an Xbox One immediately.
