Word that Dance Central DLC would cost more than Rock Band DLC snuck out way in advance of the Kinect-required dance game's release. But we didn't know specifically how much more each track would cost--until this morning, at least, when the first three Dance Central tracks appeared on Xbox Live Marketplace at 3 bones a pop, which is one more dollar than your average Rock Band download. Not too bad, eh?
Oh, and the new artists and songs joining the game are as follows:
- Ne-Yo -"Because of You"
- Lady Sovereign - "I Got You Dancing"
- Sean Paul - "Temperature"
Harmonix considers Rock Band as more of a platform than a game, if you haven't noticed over the last few DLC-drenched years. It'll be interesting to see if Dance Central can become one as well, especially considering its content's higher price and more involved development-side requirements. But let's not forget that the reason the game really exists is because of a brand-spanking-new (and hands-free) 150-dollar peripheral. Think enough people will buy a Kinect to keep Dance Central DLC coming?
