    Daniel was the second overall pick of the 1999 entry draft, who through a series of transactions made by then Canucks General Manager Brian Burke was able to draft his identical brother Henrik as well at third overall.

    In 2011, he won the Art Ross trophy for most points in a season and the Ted Lindsay award for most valuable player (as voted by the players) .
