Overview
In the Dark Seed franchise, you play as
Mike Dawson, an ad company manager who hates his job and pursues his goal in life to become a writer. Soon after, you get sucked into the world of nightmares, inspired by the works of
H.R. Giger. Unable to escape, you must push forward in order to figure out what is happening.
Plot
In the sequel, after Mike Dawson has saved the world from the 'Ancients', the experience causes him to have a mental breakdown. In an attempt to regain his sanity, he returns to his childhood home town, and moves in with his mother. A year goes by, and Mike is still suffering from serious mental problems and memory lapses. Soon after high school girlfriend, Rita, is found murdered after their high school reunion and everyone seems to believe that Mike is the murderer. It would seem that the 'Ancients' have returned and want vengence.
