There are a few settings on the PS3 that after being changed supposedly will improve the framerate on all games according to that video and a few posts I've seen on other forums. I've tested it on a few places like Lost Bastille saltfort area next to the brazier, also in the third bonfire area in Huntsman Copse, Earthens Peak looking from the top and No man's wharf.

Maybe it's just a placebo but I changed it back and forth and there seems to be an improvement, I'm going to try it again tomorrow and also disable a few more options that are supposed to help. Let me know if you notice any change.

Meh, jive only been playing the console version for the initial no one know crap experience. When I replay the game over and over again it will be the actual game when it releases April 25th.

None of that shit is going to change the framerate. Also, the framerate isn't that bad.

There's nothing wrong with Dark Souls 2's framerate. Also, this won't fix anything.

Meh... after some more testing yea it's hard to say even though some people said it made a difference in a lot of games in particular lowering the hdmi output, someone claimed that it has the same effect as when you lower the resolution in a pc game?

Anyway I thought the framerate was reasonable at first as majula feels acceptable but after going into no man's wharf, bastille and other areas I changed my opinion a bit, it's not too bad but it seems to struggle at or below 25fps most of the time.

As long as you are not running on hardware that is a decade old like the PS3, Dark Souls 2 should easily run at 60+ fps.

unless its optimized like a pile of shit (see most PC console ports ever made). Most companies expect the player to brute force performance with stupid expensive hardware, when they should be optimizing to make it so their games run on a variety of spec levels.

I'm closing this topic just on general principle...I don't think we need another full day of people replying with "It doesn't work."

Now excuse me while I finish up my next YouTube video. It's about how turning down the green tint on your display will actually give it more pixels.
