So I went back to Majula this morning and noticed that all the doors had closed on the buildings. Then I noticed that all the items and chests had been reset, meaning I was able to get the 2 estus shards again? Am I the benefactor of a very fortunate glitch? Or is my save getting corrupted?

Did you happen to use a bonfire ascetic in Majula? Without it being a glitch, that's the only possibility I can think of.

That happened to me a couple of times. I only noticed it because the chest underneath the mansion was unopened again when I revisited it. Must be a bug.

@yummylee: Nope, never used. Looking around it seems to be a lucky bug, and I will happily take those extra flasks

I had the same thing happen in Doors of Pharos. It's just a lucky bug.

This happened to me as well. I think it may only happen in Majula since it's a safezone. But it might just be a bug like a few people have already mentioned.

The chest under the locked house was unopened again, and I wondered WTH, so just a bug then.

@eaxis: the chest under the house is part of an April fools joke. They replaced the soul vessel with a divine blessing, but if you exit out and come back you can get the vessel.

But this does sound like a bug if its resetting the flask shards too.

For me the chest was closed again and had some healing item in it but it happened after I finished the game so I assumed it was part of something. Like oh was.. this holy water symbolic of.. of something?

Same thing happened to me in forest of giants. I thought it was due to the giant memories and obtaining the ashen mist heart. Everything reset except the heide knight. (I despawned everything).

I think for some reason a soul vessel vanished from my inventory and the chest in Majula where I got it, had it in their again. Certainly a bizarre bug.
