I don't know if I'm screwed or not and if I am... God I would be so pissed...

So right now, I'm level 46 or something and I just arrived at Anor Londo, which, by the way, is a beautiful place. Killed two gargoyles, went into the chapel, got stuck. Contraptions didn't work. But whatever. I kept moving and managed find a bonfire at the bottom of the stairs. So far, so good.

Got stuck again, or just did not know where to go and went up stairs. Ponder about the contraptions as some kinds of puzzles. You know... God of War style. Could not figure it out so I youtubed it.

It turns out, you can jump into the painting. When I tried, it said it did not work. Apparently you need that doll from Undead Asylum, which I managed to go and even killed the Stray Demon and yet totally not got the doll. Well... it's more like I was unaware of it.

Now that I have figured that out, I'm thinking 'okay, just go back and get the doll... wait... how do I get out of this place?' That's when I got all panicked and thought 'crap, am I trapped in Anor Londo??'

Please tell me that is not true!!

Please tell me there is a way to get out. I am pretty sure painting is not the only way to go... or is it?

There has to be a way to get out of Anor Londo or other way to go or something. PLEASE TELL ME THAT IS THE CASE!!!

Fairly certain you can go "talk" to the pink demon bat things that brought you to Anor Lando and they'll take you back to Sen's Fortress.

I could be wrong but I think you can only leave once you beat the boss.

So far I have two conflicted reports.

One guy says I can go back the place where those pink bats drop me and they will take me back.

You say there is no way I can go back unless I kill the boss.

I would rather talk to the bats than kill the boss... unless he's easy to kill. Is it true I can talk to the bats?

ImperiousRix answered it. Go back to where you first came from, and a "Talk" option will appear, and the demons that got you into Anor Londo will drop you off where you beat the Iron Golem.

I swear God, Dark Souls community in Giant Bomb is the most active community -_-;;

While we're at it, the painting world is optional. That's not the way you're supposed to go. ie, figure out the godamn easy puzzle already damnit.

Also, if you enter the painted world, you can't leave until you beat the boss there.
