Before NG+

Ok, so I think I'm close to NG+. I've got all the lord souls and am just about ready to make a run for it, but I want to make sure I'm not leaving anything on the table. I went around and killed the Fire Keepers (except for Firelink) to reinforce the flask, and I've been doing lots of last-minute weapon upgrade. I've also bought all the pyromancies/sorceries/miracles I can find, but there's definitely some I'm missing (accidentally aggroed Big Hat in the Archives, totally missed Quelana).

Anything else people recommend?

Kindle some of the more important bonfires (Undeadberg, Darkroot Forest, Anor Londo, etc etc)
Kill all the Npcs for humanity and unique weapons
Camp outside of Gwyn or Four Kings and help people coop so you can get into the sun convenant
Trade all the items you can with Sparkly
Farm of any stuff you need now. Don't wait until new game plus to farm, it'll just be more annoying
Stock up on arrows

That's all I can think of.

NG+ is not as tough as you think it is.

@Chop: I feel like I'm massively overleveled at this point (SL in the 90's). Any recommendations of a place to drop the summoning signs at that level? I was hoping to get enough to do the Sunlight Convenant, but I didn't plan far enough in advance to get my summonings in when I was low level.

Four Kings is probably your best bet. I could get summoned there consistently until level 120ish or so.

I'm currently in NG++ at SL111 and I found a bunch of people at Anor Londo. People seemed to be placing their signs at the bonfire inside and right outside the fog gate. It's strange because at lower levels people place their signs around the steps outside.

If you care about the Knights Honor achievement then get all the weapons on the list right now. You do not want to farm the trident sorcerer in NG+.

@golguin: Thanks for the tip on the trident. That's one of the few random drops I don't have from this run.

^^^^ its when you hit NG+++ and so forth that the game truly gets hard. If you have all the lord souls and dont have the achiev for the spells / miracles then you will just have to get them next game as you missed them at certain points in the game that they are required to be taken.
