Half-off on Steam

Just for anyone looking to get DS2 cheap it's only $24.99 on Steam right now.

I'll bite- thanks for pointing this out.

Wow, already?

Edit: It looks like it's a sale on THQ's entire catalog, so if you're looking for Saint's Row or Red Faction games, now's a good time to spring on those, too.

Pro tip: Don't buy Homefront.

If the PC version wasn't complete shit I might recommend it, but it's not worth that price.

#5 Edited by TinyGrenade (141 posts) -

yea I'm surprised they don't have a huge THQ pack with everything bundled together.

I'm using this opportunity to pick up Titan Quest Gold for $10. Torchlight 2 whetted my appetite for arpg's again, but my wireless card doesn't seem to want to cooperate with Diablo 3, so I'm looking for other avenues

#7 Posted by TinyGrenade (141 posts) -

ah really? That sucks I've been hoping to find DS2 cheap for a while now :/

#8 Posted by EarlessShrimp (1587 posts) -

How was RF Armageddon, I've been meaning to try it out, and for 10 bucks it seems pretty enticing...

Already? dayumn, bitches wanna stick me fo ma paypuh.

Still not interested though, gotta beat Darksiders 1 first and that shit's getting tedious.

@TinyGrenade had no problems with pc version. Ran like a charm

It's the THQ weekend so wait and see if it will be a daily deal they might drop it again to 75%. Probably won't, but it's worth waiting until Sunday to be sure.

The game was fine on launch and it's even better right now after the patches. The in game v-sync option works now and they added a few more graphics tweaks to mess with but it would be nice if the list was more extensive. Just play with a controller and you'll have a great time.

#13 Posted by TinyGrenade (141 posts) -

@Colourful_Hippie: Awesome to hear that. I planned on using a controller anyway, third person doesn't work well with a mouse and keyboard for me.

hm so season pass and the other dlc is also 50% off

worth it??

Its a pretty good game I thought and for $10 its a good deal. The game will last you 10-15 hours and you get to blow up a lot of stuff. Its worth it for the graphics and destructability and the game gets more fun and challenging as you progress. I would recommend RF guerilla over armageddon but armageddon is not a terrible game at all, its just kind of middling.

Thanks for telling us! Better add it to the catelogue so I can play it... sometime.

#17 Posted by EarlessShrimp (1587 posts) -

@RedRavN: I did get guerrilla and I really enjoyed that one, I've played all the red faction games except for Armageddon so I might quietly pick this one up, thanks duder!

#18 Posted by Labman (286 posts) -

Nice! Thanks for the heads up. I decided to go with You Don't Know Jack, instead...been meaning to play it.

#19 Posted by TinyGrenade (141 posts) -

Looks like the pack just hit too, jeez that seems like a good deal. Titan Quest, Dawn of War 2, Saints Row: The Third, STALKER, Darksiders, and some other good games too. A few of them are older but for $50 that's not too shabby, kinda forgot the lineup THQ has had in the past.

#20 Posted by JoeyRavn (4887 posts) -

After having played this game to completion, $25 is still $50 more than what I would pay for it.

#21 Posted by believer258 (11043 posts) -

This is awesome, but Sleepy Dogs is only $5 more right now...

It wasn't a great port to begin with, though it was pretty far from shit.

As it stands, they've corrected nearly every issue and it's pretty solid.

Does the season pass include Argul's tomb and Death rides as well as the two unreleased things?

If so, I'll bite on it all, otherwise maybe just the vanilla game

#24 Posted by Wampa1 (592 posts) -

@GloriousDinosaur: On the off chance you haven't bought it yet, I read that the season pass doesn't include them.

Are the two pre-order DLC's worth buying?

I'll second that. I wound up buying both this and Sleeping Dogs and Darksiders 2 runs with no issues on my computer. Worth noting that I left the game's VSYNC off and used D3DOverrider instead.

I'm betting that ds2 won't be 70% off tomorrow (probably red faction franchise) its still a really good price.
