Slightly Disappointed By What I've Seen

I know this will sound weird but I'm a little bummed that the game seems to be a little more "original" than the first Darksiders. I think most who've played the first game will agree that part of the charm of it was the blatant use of other games... elements. Remember hearing their version of the Zelda chime? That was the moment you were either sold on the game or completely turned off by it. I want more moments like that in the game. Remember fighting Dark Link/War? I hope Darksiders 2 goes whole cloth like the first game did.

That being said I'm still excited for it.

It still looks like you unlock areas with new items. From what I have seen all they really did was add loot and more RPG kinda things.

No, no, they're still (expertly) ripping off other games. Loot? Diablo 3. Combat? More Devil May Cry-like. Movement? Prince of Persia.

It's still very much Zelda with a gorier coat of paint, they've just taken some other colors and mixed them in.

Yeah it did just look like they've taken zelda and..ripped off a few more games. Very prince of persia on some of the platforming. Still looks great to me.

I was sold when I enjoyed the combat and setting. And this looks like its more of than plus more RPG elements.

Also, the final act of Diablo 3 is kinda similar to the first game!

It's funny how none of us have any problem with this simply because they steal from others so fucking well.

Hey, man. Good games are good games and we don't exactly have an overabundance of Zelda, so a different company who can do Zelda and do it well, and add some other flavors is fine by me.

So you want them to just copy other games? K... I played the first one and I think this game looks AWESOME. But perhaps your looking for something "different" than I am. Good luck with that...

DS2 looks to be taking elements from the first game and improving on them, w/ the same crunchy combat and the inclusion of platforming and phat lootz. I don't care if the the game is ripping off X or Y, just take those elements and make them into a good game.

Weird cause i have been getting more interested in it. I had a lot of fun with Darksiders. But i haven't started following the progress on Darksiders 2 until a week ago, and to me it looks pretty cool, even though it might be more of the same. I'm totally fine with that in this case.
