    Ive obviously beaten the first robot by jumping on him through the portals but now the second one im sure I have to get on top again and punch through his upper half with my sword but i have no portals to get up there..help???

    stand on the portal points on the floor and wait for him to smash where you are standing on the ground, he will break the covers on top of the portal points.
