Darkwatch

My review of Darkwatch for the XBOX.   Capcom and High Moon Studios make Darkwatch.   This is my first review on a first person shooter.

 For my review:

 Synopsis:

Darkwatch is a first person shooter.   This means you see what the main character sees as if your there.   You play as Jericho Cross a thief that robs banks and in the case of the game he robs trains.   He attempts to rob a train that is owned by The Darkwatch Organization.   Darkwatch job to defeat supernatural evils.   Darkwatch organization is almost alike to The Brimstone Society from BloodRayne.   Jericho thinks there is gold on that train but there is no gold but a vampire named Lazarus.   Darkwatch was transporting Lazarus a vampire for interrogation.   Jericho doesn’t know this until he comes upon an agent of Darkwatch named Cassidy Sharp.   Cassidy tries to stop Jericho from blowing the cell that he thinks is a gold vault and then he succeeded to do so and before Lazarus escapes he bites Jericho and then escapes.   Jericho Cross comes to and slowly turning into a vampire, as he does this he helps Cassidy stop the undead forces that Lazarus unleashes and Lazarus himself.   Cassidy gets killed before Jericho Cross makes it to a Darkwatch headquarters.   Then Jericho Cross goes to the Darkwatch and then is tested by the leader of Darkwatch Clay Cartwright, the Commander-In-Chief of the Darkwatch.   Jericho Cross then passes his tests and becomes a Darkwatch agent.   Jericho Cross meets another agent of Darkwatch named Tala a raven-haired Native American hottie that you work with.   She is a second in command to Darkwatch.   In the game there is a sex scene where Jericho Cross has sex and bites Tala and because of this she becomes a vampire herself and then is the enemy at the end of the game.  

 Game Play:

Game play of the game is first person shooter.   Jericho Cross can only carry 2 weapon types at one time.   The enemies you fight against are all undead zombies:

 Reapers- Carries 2 scythe like weapons and like to get in close to kill.

Riflemen- Name says it all he uses rifles to kill at long range

Gunslingers- they use revolvers as their main weapon but are willing to kill other zombies to get better weapons to use to kill.

Undead Riders-   They’re basically Gunslingers on undead horses

Keggers- They carry a keg of TNT and loves to run up to their enemy and and blow themselves and whoever they come against.   Take them out long range before they get near.  

Banshees- Daughters of sin.   They are all females and use their sonic screams to kill.   They are annoying as hell.   Shoot for the head on this.   This makes them deader in on shot.

Oozers- big walking vomit machines, yes vomit.   The stuff that comes back up if your sick with the stomach virus, food poisoning, or after a night of drinking.   They use the vomit as their main weapon and actually does damage to anyone that he vomits on.   He also carries to machetes for close combat.   Use a Crossbow with dynamite on the tip and fire 3 to 4 shots.

Braves- they are dead Native Americans that use tomahawks as weapons, they are similar to Reapers

Banditos- Due to them drinking a lot and getting fat when their alive.   Now their dead and that fat are now hard and form a type of armor.   Extremely great fighters and use a shotgun with a battle-axe attached.

Vipers-   Fast in combat because if their jumping ability.   They will teleport out if they feel the battle is not going their wayThe weapons in this game are:

Redeemer Revolver

Warmaker Pistols

Blackfish Carbine

Carson Range Rifle

Argus Shotgun

Dual Crossbow

Rail Rocket

Dynamite

Scepter

Well the only vehicles used in this game Shadow Jericho’s demonic horse and a Darkwatch Coyote a stream driven dune buggy type vehicle that has 2 Gattling Turrets.  

 Jericho Cross has these powers when you either feed on a human or exorcise them.  

The good powers are:

Silver Bullet- The Silver Bullet power increases shooting attacks with holy fire

Fear- The Fear power terrifies most enemies.   Some foes will merely laugh it off, though so be careful

Mystic Armor- The Mystic Armor power affords superior armor against attacks

Vindicator- The Vindicator power calls down chain lightning on your enemies

The bad powers are:

Blood Frenzy- The Blood Frenzy power imbues your melee attacks with supernatural berserker power

Turn- The Turn power makes slaves of your enemies and turns them against each other

Black Shroud- The enveloping evil of the Black Shroud power awards armor and deals damage to those who dare to attack

Soul Stealer- The Soul Stealer power sucks the very souls from distant enemies

The game is challenging and if you do something stupid like not looking around a corner and rush into a situation.   The enemy will kill you.   One drawback is that he can only carry 2 weapons and sometimes the ammo runs out very quickly and then you have to pick up another weapon to supplement the old one you used.

Graphics:

The graphics are ok but most of the game itself is in the dark and some situations its hard to see.

Sound:

Well the sound is nice but needed more work on it.
