Before this QL, I'd never even heard of this. Thank goodness GB has a wiki!

EX! I love them QL EX's!

Aaaw a Quick Look EX.
Oh well, I can survive some "This game is awesome" talk from a developer who worked on the game.
I remember liking Darwinia and Miltiwinia a lot at some point. I wonder why I stopped playing

Wow.......I hate games like this.  Thanks for the QL...I'll definitely pass on this one.

Kinda cool it seems

Played the original on Steam, and it was excellent. Nice to see it resurface on Live..

#9 Posted by hyperslug (193 posts) -

Cool game. I might get it again so I can play it from a better chair :-)

#10 Posted by Annai (23 posts) -

Looks fun. Wish I had an XBox. :)

#11 Posted by Alphazero (1644 posts) -

I've been meaning to buy the first version on Steam for years... might be time on XBLA.

#12 Posted by nanikore (2755 posts) -

Yeah.... no.

#13 Posted by Trace (3733 posts) -

I remember trying a Darwinia demo a long while ago for the PC, and it never really hooked me. This does look interesting, though, especially Multiwinia.

If it weren't for Introversion tiring of their older titles, I'd be hoping for a XBLA version of DEFCON. That was a pretty chaotic game in multiplayer, too, despite some continental imbalances and the ease of ganging up to win a game.

@ZeForgotten:
Actually, they were quite humble and pleasant. Probably the least amount of shilling that I've seen in a QL EX

God I love British people.  These guys seem really nice and a British accent makes me like someone immediately.  Also, never played it before, but I think the game looks awesome... great concept.

I can't think of any games that are like this. Maybe Black&White or Sacrifice, but they are differen. What did you have in mind ?!?!

But it doesn't look to good to me neither.

God I love Darwinia. Can't wait.

#18 Posted by Robo (876 posts) -

This game looks pretty awesome. Especially the multiplayer.

#19 Posted by Jimbo (10435 posts) -

Five years ago by the way, still has a nice look to it though.  Darwinia was ok, never played Multiwinia but it looks surprisingly good.

#20 Posted by MeatSim (11085 posts) -

Well I am gonna try out the trial version at the least.

#21 Posted by Drewbs (2794 posts) -

Interesting, like other I have not heard of this series before, but I'll check it out.

Darwinia is great, if you haven't played it yet you owe it to yourself.

#23 Posted by Seraphim2150 (394 posts) -

I'm getting this on release.

Ended up chatting to Introversion at an expo, and they are a really good bunch of guys. Indie but not pretentious

#24 Posted by Dylabaloo (1573 posts) -

Awhhh Ryan should have let them play another game mode.

#25 Posted by Huzzabari (40 posts) -

should be darwinia + points

#26 Posted by Earthborn (395 posts) -

I always thought Darwinia would really benefit from the XBLA scene. Hopefully it will do well.

This game was great on the pc, I'm looking forward to playing it on the couch.

#28 Posted by HatKing (7149 posts) -

I always heard about this game... never knew much about it though.  Dude I'm in.  This looks like a lot of goofy fun.
#29 Posted by Olimar_91 (36 posts) -

This looks excellent. I was definitely skeptical of what I'd seen before, but this convinced me. Must buy.

#30 Posted by ConduitFourSale (188 posts) -

This is some trippy lookin shit!  Very interesting actually.  I wouldn't mind trying it out.

#31 Posted by havelava (184 posts) -

This is a buy for me, im stoked

#32 Posted by spiceninja (3212 posts) -

I bought this (original not Plus) for $5 on PC sealed, in box, with post and keychain at a discount store about 5 years ago. And I've never gotten past the 4th or 5th level.

These guys were pretty funny but can't say I'm all that interested in the game.

#34 Posted by CitizenJP (1319 posts) -

Awesome. I love how they have actual lore and a bit of history to the game. Deep shit for a downloadable game. Amazing art style and looks fun so I'm defs gonna hit this up.

#35 Posted by Meltac (2007 posts) -

I've always wanted to buy it on Steam, but maybe I'm just going to get it from XBLA.

Is it me, or does Mark Morris sound like a British version of Drew?
#37 Posted by steevl (279 posts) -

I got this game on Steam years ago and loved it. Got Multiwinia last year during the Steam sale, but have barely touched it. I'm kind of tempted to get this version too.

yeah, i got it on steam.. it was fun for an hour or two, and kind of a neat "abstract" RTS... but yeah i ran into a bug or something and got stuck, and i never went back....
#39 Posted by emkeighcameron (1895 posts) -

How many times did he say "afterlife"?

Wish I had played this, maybe I should get it on Steam.

This looks sweet! I'm definitely buying. Like a simplified RTS with awesome style. :)

If "pulling a Brad" is dying in a QL, then "pulling a Ryan" is cutting the QL short when there was more to see...

"I'm callin' it" or "we're out of time" are his go to lines.

#44 Posted by Scarabus (501 posts) -

Tip of my hat to Ryan for politely listening through all of that Darwinia lore.

#45 Posted by MrCellophane (570 posts) -

This actually looks really interesting. If I had a 360 I'd probably buy it. I'm a PS3 man though.. :(

#46 Posted by EasyPeasey (160 posts) -

Supelvadia looks like buddy wakefield

#47 Posted by EpicSteve (6908 posts) -

Instead of getting the PC version, I've been holding out on the 360 version this whole time. Thank God!

#48 Posted by Fascismo (132 posts) -

22:05. Oh dear.

#49 Posted by immike (712 posts) -

I remember playing the PC version a long time ago and liking it a lot. I'll be glad to play this on the ol XBLA.

#50 Posted by dastly75 (116 posts) -

Ughhh I can't stand the Devs talking about everything.  Just let the game speak for itself and maybe throw in a comment here and there.  Takes 4 minutes just to start the game...
