    Overview

    Data West, no relation to Data East, was established on May 29, 1984 in Osaka, Japan making adventure games for Japanese computers, such as The 4th Unit and Psychic Detective series. Besides adventure games, Data West also made the Rayxanber shooter series, an action RPG for the PlayStation called Brave Prove, and even created two Pioneer LaserActive shooters called Vajra 1 and 2 just to name a few. Data West stopped making games after their released of Brave Prove in 1998 and transistioned into creating networking solutions, car navigation systems, and other tech-related fields in the 2000s.
