David Jaffe is working with Jenova Chen on his next project?

Usually I won't give this piece of "news" a second thought but his tweet had some very interesting reference. Earlier on Jeffe tweeted...

Backing out of garage,off2LA for top secret project w/the daddy of Flower and Journey- will spill tha beanz tonite!

Of course he is talking about Jenova Chen as the "daddy of Flower and Journey". I really don't know what to think of this. It just seem like the weirdest collaboration in gaming history. I guess we'll have to wait for tonight when Jeffe "Spill the beanz" more about it.

What do you think of this?

Two people that I like a lot working together? Sounds good. I'm always up for collaborations. I'll be excited to see what this turns out to be.

I noticed them talking to each other on twitter a bunch when Journey was released. Their styles seem so totally different so a collaboration between them is really exciting if it happens.

Totally. That would be super interesting to see what could come of that. Imagine Jaffe's action/adventure vibe with Chen's ambient/artsy style...

The only thing I want to say is that the way he wrote his tweet if fucking irritating. 'Daddy'? 'Tonite'? 'Beanz'? Fuck.

There are two types of characters in the new game, an ambulance and a regular car. There is no indication of who's in control of the vehicles and you can only communicate by sirens and car horns. The ambulance has to ferry people through the streets of LA to a hospital and the car must chase it looking for a dead body.

That's like the weirdest team up ever..

So we'll be like blasting through this primeval forest blowing trees up with rocket powered vehicles while experiencing a transcendental (and aggressive) inner journey or something? then at the end you figure out the meaning of life but simultaneously a nuke goes out and blows up the entire planet.
