I'm looking for a somewhat fresh mmo experience thats not to similar to WoW. I was playing Rift which is good, but it is just too much like WoW.  I know DC universe got kind of mixed reviews, but I have heard that it is fresh and since SOE is back up I think I may pick it up.  So anyone here playing actively?  and how is it?

Yes, i play General Discussion with my imaginary friend on PC everyday! :P

I had fun with the game for the first free month, leveled a character to 30 and got some tier gear... Then I started paying for it and my interested dropped significantly. The end-game grinding is really no fun and the amount of bugs in the game is frustrating. I turned auto renew off and would have been done with it by now but my subscription overlapped the PSN outage so I have another free month I could pop it in and play... but I probably won't.

The first time through the game is fun, but I don't think there is enough content to keep anyone after that. And once you deal with 3 lockups in one night and random lag issues, you'll tell this game to fuck off.

I was looking at alot of vids of this game. And I like that there is alot of single player content along with the multiplayer . but unsure ..even more so to drop 40 bucks or more and then hate it .

It is a good game even if the initial controls are a little clunky (and the 6 button hotbar is MADDENING!) but if you want an extremely fast paced MMO you can do a lot worse - and by god do I mean fast-paced!

@Shotaro: It does look like something that would be up my ally . I do like the face pace of the fighting and stuff of that nature . I just need to decide if I want to spend the money. I think they might have a demo or friend pass thing I could try.

not that I remember but since the userbase reportedly declined rapidly I would not be at all surprised to see some sort of short term trial available.

I liked it when it first released, but it didn't have much lasting power with me. I stopped a bit into the first month that I had to pay for and I know a few other people who did basically the same thing (both on PC and PS3). Wouldn't be all that surprised to hear (as I have in this thread) that it is pretty dead nowadays.
