    Tecmo is trying to be a bit experimental with doa5, so they are releasing an alternative version of the came with the subtitle "Core Fighters" thats planned for release around the same time as the retail game,

    Basically it will include the 4 ninjas (kasumi, ayane, hayate, and hayabusa) and it includes the tutorial and training modes, but additional characters cost 4 bucks each, while the story mode costs 15 bucks,

    online play will be free, and the free to play versions of Ultimate can fight against the retail versions of Ultimate, but no online compatibility with the original Doa5.
