Another Epic Fail
So I wasn't the biggest fan of Dead Rising 1, it was a severely flawed game with an abysmal story and frustrating AI, but it was fun, new, and a great time waster. Well I thought DR2 would be a vast improvement on the game, fixing the terrible AI, adding more things to smash into gore filled bits, and getting rid of those goddamn fetch quests that remind me of WoW (Which i dont like for the record, well not after it ate half my life away). So DR2 comes out and I go rent it and pop it in. First off the game crashes three times in a fucking row, freezing and shit. Well my xbox is recently back from the shop so I give it a chance, because I'm excited to play. It starts up and after an incredibly long loading screen, jumps into an absolute retardedly fun cutscene and the some mediocre gameplay. Well since it was the first level I didnt think of it as a letdown. Well once I got to the rest of the game I saw a familiar pattern: Fucking godawful AI, really how fucking hard is it to make it so the people you're trying to save dont just run into the nearest crowd of zombies like fucking suicide bombers and a world trade convention. The motherfuckers get killed despite me saving them multiple times only to watch, painfully, as they race back into the nearest crowd to get devoured. Now gameplay is still a good amount of fun, but the weapon system bored the shit out of me, it wasn't innovative like all those fucking videos claimed(-1 point to the goddamn media), and while that was a letdown the core zombie slasher part of it was still a good chunk of fun. So I couldnt hate it even with its clunky controls, stupid weapon creation system, godfuckingawful AI from some 3rd world fucking country, characters you couldnt give two fucks about if you tried, and retarded story. But this one, guys, this one was a step in the opposite direction they should have gone. Oh, and Chuck, No one fucking cares if your daughter turns into a zombie, no one fucking cares.
