I think Dead Space looks like I has some sweet combat but I dont know if is as good as gears. Care to Compare?

Dead Space is fantastic, but after finishing both games, I have to say that Gears 2 has it beat.  It simply has some "wow" moments that DS lacks.

On the topic, I wouldn't know, I haven't played it yet, but it looks hella fun.

Dead Space in a nutshell:

Chapter 1 to 4: Fun and scary
Chapter 4 to the Marines ship: Fun but samey
The Marines ship to the end: Utter grinding.

it is a great game though it never reaches anywhere close to Gears of War

By just shooting elements and some of the weapons, its far better than gears, but being able to chainsaw people apart and the finishers it has, gears tops it in those regards. I would say one of the best though also, I enjoyed Dead Space a lot, and there weren't like a mass amount of shooters that came out this year, so it stands out to me.

I like the way there was no roadie run. And you can run so nicely in any direction. Gave a lot more control to you as the player.

It certainly wins my vote for best game that defied all expectations. It is an original EA game, that happens to be great. How often does that happen?

I also completed both DS and GoW2, gow2 was some fun, serious fun but imo DS has gow2 beat.  Better visuals, better audio, better story, and it the shooting feels on par with gow itseflf being the best to 3rd person shooters.  DS ftw.

Dead Space is not scary at ALL. Its just another shooter. Buts its a pretty damn good shooter. But its nothing more than that.

its not as good as gear2 probably but for what its worth, it was just goog playing and finshing the game.
