    Dead Space is worth it. Trust ReTarDedFisHy.
    It's been a while since he's thought that the $60 big ones were really worth something.
    And this is it.

    Sure, replayability is good but not great, probably only 3 times, but the first playthrough is truly epic.
    ReTarDedFisHy is on his third playthrough, getting all the trophies and upgrading all his equipment :}

    He's currently working on getting the One Gun trophy on Impossible Mode. :S
    Trying to get the two hardest trophies in one go. Is he crazy? But still, insanely hard = insanely fun. Well, at least for Dead Space.

    Yep, trust ReTarDedFisHy, he's telling the truth. It's a really good game, but be warned though. You mentione you like survival horror games like Resident Evil 2. Dead Space is similar to RE4, which took a completely different approach than the previous Resident Evil games. Don't expect to get stuck because you're low on ammo or healt or naything of the kind, everything is abundant.

    Also, abou the fear factor. The game is indeed scary at the begining, but it get less and less scary as it goes on for two main reasons. First, probably around chapter 3 you'll have already figured ou the type of scare the game will try to throw on you. So you can deduce all the time where the enemies will jump from, when they'll appear, etc. This takes a lot of the scare away. And second, by the middle of the game you get to be so powerfull (by upgrading your weapons, armor, etc) that you know you can take on anything that comes and you'll know how to take them down.

    I'm not trying to say this as a bad element of the game or anything, I really really liked it. It's more to encourage you so you can put aside your fear for this kind of game.

    Hells yeah.
    What makes it even more unscary is when you have the lvl. 6 Military suit, and tons of upgraded and totally kickass weaponry. Because of this, you feel like a badass and therefore, can take down anything that the Necromorphs throw at you :}

    That being said, the first playthrough is still scary as heck, because you're so weak :P
    Up until lvl. 4 armor, you feel really vulnerable.
