Extremely bothered by writing/VO

I think this game looks super cool, and I love games like Another World and that sort of 2D thing, but the thing that may break down the entire experience for me is the writing and voice acting.

I've watched some gameplay, and it's all AWFUL. It's such stereotypical apocalypse crap, and it seems like something that I would not be able to tolerate whatsoever.

Do you guys think I'm overreacting? Or do you agree with me about how terribad the VO is?

I think you are overestimating how unique the Apocalypse will be.

Fair enough, but Rage had better voice acting than this, and I'm not just talking about John Goodman.

Voice acting costs money. Rage had a bigger budget.

That makes sense, and I know that Rage had more money to spend on that sort of thing, but there isn't a direct ratio of money to talent in VO in this industry.

Isn't this made by some Mexican dudes? I can understand that some shit localization occurred. Come to think of it, if I brush up on my Spanish, I could play the game in that language. That might be better.
