Game » consists of 9 releases. First released on Feb 23, 2010

Deadly Premonition is an open-world comedy-horror game following eccentric FBI Agent Francis York Morgan (and his imaginary friend, Zach) as he investigates a brutal murder in the small town of Greenvale.

The biggest easter egg in the game...literally.

I was expecting to see a giant Easter egg. I guess that wasn't the literal part.

@Axxol: That's no dog, that's a WIZARD. Also, this cannot be unseen.

This dog is a wizard. Your statement is invalid.

Well, Swery DID say that Willy was commanding Kaysen to do his bidding, clearly DP was all in the mind of a dog.

@Axxol: I suck at shops and did this in less than a minute, but couldn't resist at least trying.

Yep that is a pretty big easter egg! I also like the ones Swery put in there about himself and the Twin Peaks homages...Oh! and
Mash Market's anti-Milkbarn propaganda posters.  If anyone is interested I have a full list here:

You think that's an easter egg? Look at the lake. It's a dinosaur.

Seems more coincedental rather then intentional. Interesting find though.

@eroticfishcake: I thought I heard someone say SWERY revealed it during his session at GDC, so I don't think it's a coincidence.

@eroticfishcake:  SWERY has stated that Greenvale is shaped like Willie in several interviews (in Game Developer Magazine and in the GDC Destructoid Interview). It was supposed to imply he was more than what he seemed but they ran out of time to explore the Willie backstory.

This was actually posted in Swery's GDC notes on his blog. So it's definitely intentional.

For something intentional, I think a lot of the lines are pretty suspect.  Like the ears, the legs, and the spots.

Still no asshole...

I remember seeing that on one of the slides from Swery's GDC talk. I'm not sure it counts as an easter egg, more of an observation of a coincidental aspect of the game. Still, it's pretty cool.
