The player is assigned with a different mission in each of around 20 locales. Some involve actions such as the escort of a VIP, searching for nuclear weapons, or destroying an enemy HQ among others. At the start of each mission the player chooses from a series of weapons and equipment including,
-M16 Grenadier with a cog scope -Frag Grenade
-Bolt Action M24 sniper rifle -Smoke Grenade
-Silenced MP5 - Rocket Launcher
-Beretta 40. cal Sniper rifle - Knife
-SAW machine gun
Many missions require the use of stealth and night vision, otherwise the Delta Force Team will be quickly overwhelmed by the enemy's superior numbers, objectives are assigned to the player, however they can choose to ignore the objectives and approach the main part of the mission any way they choose, the player is often safest when staying close to their squad.
During a mission the player will often encounter a helicopter or another vehicle that needs to be eliminated. The player goes up against drug cartels in South America, terrorists in the Middle East, and nationalist movements in Russia.
The game uses an early 3D engine allowing for large maps with foliage and various textures.
