The game for all stratagy players-
A good deal of people believe Demigod is basically DOTA (Defence of the Ancients) in retail form but it actually has several key differences that i feel make it a better game.
Now for those who haven't heard heard of it Defence of the Ancients is a custom map for Warcraft 3 that revolves around players controlling a single hero which can be leveled up and customized, players must then work together to destroy the enemy base, which is defended by computer controlled minions and powerful towers as well as enemy Heroes.
Unlike DOTA Demigod is very streamlined and much more easy to learn, which is good as the game features no tutorial mode, Players can choose from 1 of 8 Demigods such as the Rook which is a giant moving castle that can arm its shoulders with weapons and the Unclean One who can infect the enemy troops with a deadly plague.
Where Demigod shines is in its small touches, for example the game features 8 maps to play on and each map is very unique such as one map is on top of a giant crystal with the devil trapped inside, Demigod has chosen to go for unique maps instead of strategic maps.
Demigod also has a Unreal-Esque announcer who will yell out things like "Smite" or "Rampage" similar to First Person Shooter.
One of the Major Weaknesses of Demigod is its lack of Content, the game features skirmish and tournament modes which can take a couple of hours to finish, although the game can be played online and Gas Powered Games Has promised to add new demigods and maps post release, so the Future of Demigod looks good.
