Here is a video on the loading times.

    http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/22/deus-ex-human-revolution-loading-times-compared/

Obviously the PC version will load faster depending on what you have, but are any console gamers upset about this? I don't plan on getting the game, but if I were, I'd be a little upset to wait 20+ seconds after a death/beating a mission.

You don't really need to load THAT much. Also, getting it on the PC so I doubt I'll encounter as much of a problem.

Hm, hopefully that's not the case for the final PC version. We'll find out tomorrow I suppose.

I think it's a good idea to install it if you get the 360 game. Even if you're on a 20GB HDD and have to delete a few things, if you're a Deus Ex fan, you know you'll be replaying this one at least twice. May as well cut those load times down by a third right from the get-go!

I upgraded mine to a 250, had to. Deleting other games to save a new game I planned on playing a lot was getting annoying lol.

I now have every game I own saved.

Yeah, I saw IGN's comparison video.  It kind of sucks, but I don't feel like playing it on PC and my PS3 needs some attention after a seriously dry summer.  I plan to avoid dying.

Ya I know. Plus getting it on Amazon for $45 is something I couldn't pass up, after looking at Gamestop's $130 price lol.

You console folk are expecting new consoles next year right? I mean the X360 and the PS3 are ancient hardware now.. multiple discs for games/huge installs, longer loading time, not enough processor power to handle new technology (BF3 for example), poor visual performance, etc..
So I wouldn't worry about this becoming a trend, the PS4 and X720 next year will get you back on track

I bet we don't hear about new consoles from Sony and Microsoft until E3 2013 at the earliest. Sony wants the PS3 and PSV to be compatible with one another, with cross-platform play and game save transferring, while Microsoft is seeing extraordinary 360 sales still and were not even at holiday yet. Plus with the lackluster 3DS launch and doubts about the WiiU I can see Microsoft and Sony hesitant on launching a new console anytime soon.

I don't that is the same one, but still a good price compared to what retail store sell them at.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I have a slim. Not sure what the older ones cost.

Hmm those load times do seem a bit too long. It's hard to tell if they'll break up the gameplay much. Crysis 2 had long load times but I thought they did enough to make sure you didn't die as well as played video during the loading between missions.

Duke Nukem Forever loading was horrid. Watching that quicklook was painful because they died a lot during hte game and then they just sat there for 30 seconds waiting to try again.

Mass Effect took about the same time to load on my Xbox as that video.  On my computer some of the loads were literally less than 2 seconds.  I got it preordered on steam. ^_^
