For its English release, the characters had their names changed but their identities remained fairly obvious with virtually no changes in what cutscenes, events, or sparse dialog remained in the game. Only the first 10 are playable:

Setting and Gameplay

Taking place in Japan, the maps closely resemble Samurai Warriors (if with simpler, less expansive areas). Both allied and enemy forces, from conscripts to officers are generally more aggressive than the tendency of Musou games, but otherwise gameplay closely mirrors early Musou games.
