    Diablo III

Game » consists of 9 releases. Released May 15, 2012

Diablo III returns to the world of Sanctuary twenty years after the events of Diablo II with a new generation of heroes that must defeat the demonic threat from Hell.

    Quick (stupid?) question.

I played the trial of Diablo and loved it, but I was wondering about something. If I don't simply click the upgrade button in the game, and instead go out and buy the retail version (because I want the box), can I use my character at the same location and everything? (Use the retail version as an upgrade / or reinstall) Is that all saved on their end? I tried to find this on google to no avail, thanks!

Yes, all it will do is upgrade the account to a "premium" version. It's all integrated into your Battle.net account.

Based on what I read, it seems like YES (the character is saved on their end / tied to the battle net account)...I can always reinstall just in case.
