I played all day today, I log off, log back on and all my heroes are gone. I had a level 16 Monk and a level 6 Demon Hunter. It isn't much but this really fucking sucks I have no clue how or why this happened

I'm 99% sure they will:

A- Be there tomorrow once they do a server restart

B-Retrievable from customer service

I haven't had a single issue like this

There are no 'hacking' problems. People are falling for the same phishing and keylogging tricks that have been plaguing WoW for the past 6 years. People just refuse to believe they're at risk, and it leaves them terribly vulnerable.

OP, have you tried contacting Blizz to see if your account was compromised or lost?

Are you sure you didn't switch servers?

Like SamFo says, check your server setting and set it to your home region. maybe this got switched somehow. characters are stored server side.

There's a character restore option right next to the character delete button.

Possibly your server settings were switched, it happens. Also, you may have been hit by hackers, but I have never heard of them deleting the chars, at least in Diablo III.

PS: You can recover your most recently deleted character. Click the twirly arrow sign next to change hero.

@AlianthaBerries: I had a similair issue when I switched servers. But I'm glad you got all your char's back!

Was playing tonight, logged me off. Tried to log back in, said my account was being used on another computer. Hit the website, changed password, logged back in. My characters are still good but all my story progress and all my gold is gone.

I was kind of ambivalent about the always connected DRM, but now.. Fuck that! Got a ticket in for restoration, who knows. Weaksauce.

love that people just jump to conclusion without even knowing anything.

i personally have not had any real problems other then problems with loggin in on day 1 for 30 min or so. and the latency dropping to 600-800 for 2 sec twice in a co-op game

the only problems i have with the game is that inferno is so fucking hard right now and is so depending of your gear

It is no problem that can not be solved by a free app.

It is not on Blizzard's end.

Check if you'Re connecting to the right server.

Happened to me as well until I checked and saw that I was connected to "the americas" instead of europe

Contact customer support, they'll roll you back.

This thread hurts my brain.
