Diablo III returns to the world of Sanctuary twenty years after the events of Diablo II with a new generation of heroes that must defeat the demonic threat from Hell.
Hahaha this reminds me of all those people posting PSP game reviews a few months before Crisis Core came out, everybody was all like "This will/won't tide you over until Crisis Core comes out." That was terrible.
Titan Quest is good. You can get it and the expansion on steam for $20. I just picked up Fate recently. You can find the original and the sequel for about $20. If you buy the sequel, the original is included. Oh, and buy it from Amazon. If you download it from the game's site, I don't think they have the same deal. Sacred, and Sacred II are supposed to be similar, and pretty good. Torchlight is coming out soon, and that looks pretty awesome. Deathspank is supposed to be coming out this year, and that also looks pretty rad. You could also try something like Dungeon Siege. It's a little different, but it scratches a lot of the same itches. I can't think of any more atm. I've actually been going through the same thing lately. Can't wait for DIII, so I've been trying to find something else. I have been playing Diablo II a good amount too, 'cause it's just awesome.
Check out Sacred 2. It just came out this year, and I'm having a BLAST in the game. There's some detailed blogs in the Sacred 2 forums, as well as a couple of posts that I've made which are rather uninformative. The Wiki is pretty good for it, though, and they've got an expansion that should be seeing release sometime in the near future. Unfortunately, there's no confirmation of whether the expansion will be available outside of Germany or not, as the developers of Sacred 2 have sadly shut their doors.
The Sacred team have reorganized and are working in a different company I'm pretty sure, btw. Maybe the expansion will see release some day, but the game is great as is. Sacred 2 is just addictive; looting and grinding, and you can play with friends, and try out a variety of different characters(that top out at lvl 200 @) with different skill sets and abilities....good stuff agreed.
Thanks for all the help guys, have been playing Titan Quest for a bit now and it's alright. Except that it doesn't seem to mesh well with windows 7 and gives me random fatal errors every so often, no problem since it saves everything I do up do that point but annoying none the less. But I guess it helps me not sit for too long :P
Sacred 1 and 2 are both worth checking out, but they have a lot of very tedious side quests. If you own the handheld systems both Phantasy Star Portable and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time are very fun games in a similar style.
