Female Witch Doctor, I absolutely loved the class in beta.
Barbarian after, smashing things up is awesome too, especially if the screen shakes with every blow you deal.

Female Demon Hunter. I'll probably try a Monk and/or Wizard, too.

I've never played Diablo with sound before...at least in my years of Diablo 2. It was always sound off, my own music on. Listening to the same sounds over and over when farming stuff will get tiresome. I can deal with it when leveling up.

Most likely a female demon hunter. Although the wizard class is certainly a close second.

Probably a Lady Monk to start out. I'm surprised that Witch Doctor is hanging on in this poll, I had very little fun with it in the beta. Maybe I'll have to give it another try.

Either monk or wizard... probably monk. All the classes look cool though I'll play them all eventually

I think that have done their job very well, indeed. I've been debating what class I should play for the last month. I'm pretty certain that I'm going with Monk, but I know that the character select screen will bring back all of the indecision. Also, it would be cool if I didn't play the class that is chosen the most, but if it's what I enjoy, so be it. (Then again, every poll that has been done--whether here or on the Blizzard forums--has been evenly split also.)

Rocket DH for solo
Evasion tank Monk for co-op
Eventually everything

Will most likely "main" a demon hunter at the start but might play Monk first depending on how the launch happens (I live in Europe but want to play on US servers, so if only the EU servers are up I'll play a monk on their until the US servers are up)

If the spells in this game are anything cool to watch I'd might roll a magic class the first time in an RPG, Save my Girmlock mage, and Balders Gate 2 or maybe D2? Its all a blur now... Awesome

Rolling a Male demon hunter, I've been in talks with my buddy and as hes rolling a Wizard I think that the demon hunters traps and snares will work really well in conjuction with his AOE spells, During the open beta i had connection issues and couldnt get on most of the weekend so i only got to try the demon hunter but maybe come the 15th i'll decide on something else since my first day will be spent testing out the classes.

surprised to see the barb at the bottom, though not by much. On the blizzard forums he ran away with the vote with 36%

Female Barbarian. All the time.

Barb first off, more fun in the beta by far than the other classes.

EDIT: I'll take how basically evenly spread out the votes are for each character class as a very good sign for D3.

Witch Doctor, most probably.

I think Wiz looks the coolest but i'm starting the game with friends and Wizard has been called dibs upon already :(. So Barbarian it is! Though I will also make a secondary Wiz character, also WD created the most chaos by FAR, since his abilities basically activate at the same time. Like spiders can be leaping while you have your zombie dogs and your casting bat swarms on top of the enemies who are being pulled to the ground by zombie hands... WD is by far the most chaotic :P.

Demon Hunter - not yet sure if male or female.

I like punching and round house kicking people until they explode. So, Monk.

I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to anything about Diablo 3, but I'm going to play whatever class has summons. In games like this, I like rolling around with tons of minions. I'm assuming that that's the Witch Doctor class, but I'm not sure.

the last time i played the DH in the beta it was kind of underwhelming and the wizard was OP feeling. felt a little less OP in the open beta weekend though.

I voted Demon Hunter, but I'm thinking about going with whatever class gets the least amount of votes in this thread.

Surprised that Monk dominates here at GB. I'll be playing Monk, myself - and then following up with Wizard, perhaps. I think people are, more or less, stuck on the idea of a few top choices. It's much more interesting, for me at least, to ask what class are people NOT considering playing or in the case of "I'LL PLAY EVERYTHING" which class are they playing last.

Undoubtedly a Wizard.  My favorite spell in D2 was Hydra, and they brought it back for the Wizard.  I can't wait to use all the different runed permutations of it.

The monk has taken a commanding lead and it looks like all my friends are playing it. I'm now leaning heavily towards the Wizard, but the witch doctor and barbarian both get cooler the more you read about them. Looks like this is going to be a game-time decision lul.

The Wizard looks interesting from what I have see in trailers and beta vids. Also Witch Doctor has also caught my attention because it is so unsual compared to the other classes.

I'm really pumped to play a female Barbarian named Bertha! Also I like the dialog from the barb the most so far:

Suprised to see monk and DH in front. Im thinking of doing a combo of female barb and female DH.

Played as a Barb in the Beta, and that was fun, but I'm not sure how long that style of play would stay interesting. I'm not really into ranged stuff, so I'm unsure about playing Demon Hunter, Wizard, or Witch Doctor. So, that leaves the Monk which seems to also have the best passive skills.

female monk, then a female demon hunter then a male wizard.

still have no clue but leaning towards wizard .. i know its still but monk was appealing until EVERYONE wants to play it .. same way with barb .. but ill probably try them all .. least interested in demon hunter i guess but thats because i find ranged dex classes a bit cheap
