We have seen the good and the bad quests. Have had disagreements on potions and trouble with even younger rivals like Diablo II.
But as time goes by and the wild years are gone, you find yourself yearning for the simpler times. The summers of 2.5D isometric views, when system requirements still contained the letters "vga" somewhere. The audio that felt like having a strobe light shoved in the face, after a 25 minute night. Those times when a townportal animation, ahm succession of townportal stills or a time suspended staircase could comfort you through an unnecessarily long level loading process. Back then when battle net lags were decent enough to grant a tired warrier time to get himself a cup of coffee or read a good book.
In these hectic times you start appreciating a gameplay that is neither responsive nor does reflect the movements you have actually selected! A server that is firmhanded and will drop you on a whim without any warning whatsoever. and will restore you to settings that are three hours old, you know, from back when you actually started the game? giving you that cold and hollow feeling of despair with the heavy aftertaste of futility. doesn't that just scream for a lifelong commitment? I think it does!
