I want to buy Singularity but it is not available on Steam, how is Direct2Drive? does it have it's own client and is easy to use like Steam?

i've only heard good things about Direct2Drive though i've never used it myself.  
i don't think it has it's own client. last time i checked, you just buy the game and that's it.

The good thing about D2D is that you can trick it into thinking that you are an American buying it in USA and so use their US $ prices instead of inflated euro or AU$ prices you would otherwise have to pay on Steam for example. I still prefer Steam tho overall.
Not saying I ever done that kind of stuff tho ....
