A mistake on the Internet! It is my duty to point it out! :P

Also, this game looks amazing. Too bad I utterly suck at driving games.

Couldn't hurt to give this one a shot and try to improve your skills, could it?

Please, don't "americanize" this game too much... I want pure european rally, not some freestyle talentless BS.

Ugh, I hate that ford fiesta, he should get back with subaru.  Can't wait for this game.

@wickedsc3: He was driving a focus st in that video.

While I too agree that a game centered more on rally would be a better experience (that's the direction they have apparently gone with this title, regardless of all of these pre-release videos), Gymkhana is by no means talentless.  I would actually argue that it takes more talent to control a car in the tight environment of a Gymkhana course than it does to drive a rally course (however, not much more, and don't take that comparison too heavily as the two require different sets of skills).

Now I feel like drinking a Monster Energy Drink® to cool myself down!

Isnt that statement a bit contradictive?

@Hay4z: Thats even worse lol

I keep going back and forth on whether or not I want to pick this game up.

Leaning towards picking it up again.

#18 Posted by Scotto (1184 posts) -

Already got this one pre-ordered.  Holding out hope that they've abandoned some of the "Mountain Dew EXTREME-ness" of Dirt 2, in favour of a game more rooted in the Colin McRae tradition.

Don't get me wrong, Dirt 2 was amazing - but I was almost a bit embarrassed to play it when other people were around, because of all the X-Games nonsense infused into it.

I will say that the screenshots of an old Audi Quattro rally car give me hope.

I'm having a blast with DiRT2 at the minute so roll on this game!

#20 Posted by QKT (250 posts) -

top gear did a better job at showcasing gymkhana!

#21 Posted by CastroCasper (1301 posts) -

Just give me this damn game already!!!

@Scotto: They claim they have and from what Ive seen aside from ken block being there front man the extremeness has been toned down.

Half-ton? What is this - half a car?

#24 Posted by KillyDarko (1888 posts) -

IF it's true that this one will be a lot more focused on rally courses than on anything else, then I'm game.

Me too, had the game for a while, but didn't really get into it before the TNT.. it's amongst the best racing games I've ever played and I can't wait for Dirt 3.
#26 Posted by Devildoll (880 posts) -

looked okay , but i think the stuff he's done before looks better.

#27 Posted by RobbieMac (535 posts) -

Dirt 3 race nights.  You know it.

#28 Posted by GTFan712 (156 posts) -

Not quite sure why he's in the WRC Focus and not his Fiesta. Evo7Sux front plate is lol.

Makes me want to strangle whoever thought it was a great decision
to have unskippable videos and blabbering in driving games.

#30 Posted by BlazeHedgehog (1093 posts) -

As cool as this is, you know what would be great for your videogame commercial?

FOOTAGE OF THE VIDEOGAME IN QUESTION.

There is nothing I hate more then game advertisements that do not show the actual videogame! It is the worst thing! Ever!

#33 Posted by ghostNPC (776 posts) -

Would have liked to sit in on the decision to make this trailer.  Wow.

#34 Posted by temmink (50 posts) -

Looking at this and the box are the dropping Colin McRea from the title? I can't see it there anywhere. It's an understandable decision if that is the case, obviously Colin McRea isn't recognizable to younger players, they probably think he is a developer like Sid Meier or some other weird tie in like Tom Clancy. The sad fact is that he has probably been dead longer than some people have been playing games by now...

Cardboard boxes are such jerks.

#36 Posted by KamikazeCaterpillar (1179 posts) -

I cannot wait for this game.

#39 Posted by Swish (83 posts) -

All trailers must have prodigy apparently

#40 Posted by tyger_cheex (82 posts) -

Good to see The Prodigy getting some videogame love at the moment... any video (even the Duke Nukem Autopsy) with a prodigy soundtrack gets a thumbs up from me!

What's the name of the song?

#42 Posted by Hero_Swe (1137 posts) -

A good song butchered into fucking dubstep. Disgusting.

#44 Posted by guilherme (332 posts) -

If the game is 50% rally like Dirt2 was, I'll only buy it when it's $10... I don't like the other modes.
How I miss Mobil1 Rally Championship... 17min to complete only one track! I guess there's no one today that will make a simulation like that.

The track is The Prodigy - Warriors Dance (Benga Remix)

@Funkydupe: if your late why do you keep spinning in circles?
#50 Posted by Funkydupe (3318 posts) -
@Blood_for_the_blood_God: I'm quite possibly a terrible driver, but in truth that's not the only reason. When I'm really tired, I often tend to lose my directional senses completely.
