Thought I'd start a topic where Giantbombers could post some of our Dirt 3 Youtube clips as otherwise they're bound to fall into obscurity on Youtube, this is one I uploaded from the second race in the first event it isn't much as it was more just a test of the feature and is just a close crash.

The Ground Rules

• The clips must be your own. No posting video clips from random Internet users, no matter how awesome it is, bro. Giant Bomb user content only!
• Try to keep it to one video a post. We don't want to swarm a page with a glut of videos. In addition, it's highly preferred that you explain/talk about the video a little. Thirty seconds isn't always enough to truly understand what went down.
• Any other threads with the intent to show off Dirt 3 clips will be locked. Keep it all in here.
• We reserve the right to change our mind about allowing this. Also, if people don't listen to the ground rules, we might lock this thread.

OTHER MOD EDIT:

• Deal with it :D

Looking forward to seeing some cool videos, espicially from Gymkhana haven't had a go at it myself yet though.

Nice vid. What I love about DiRT. Just that feeling of "Oh shit don't crash. Don't flip.....fuck I survived"

My copy arrived this morning but haven't been able to dive in yet. Will do in a few hours when I get back home...so excited.

I've heard that you can only upload 30 second clips to youtube, which sucks

i don't think this is too spammy, as the Youtube feature is inherit to the game and as long as the videos relate to the game. I found it fun watching all the clips.

It's a good idea, wish Vinny & Drew could of uploaded his mid air spin.

After some thought, I think we can tentatively allow a thread like this. Allowing Giant Bomb users to show off moments they've experienced in Dirt 3 seems acceptable, and if we handle this right, it shouldn't fall under YouTube spam. It appears this may have some precedence, too, since Super Street Fighter IV has its own thread for users to post their fight videos.

However, just like that SSFIV thread, I am going to lay down some ground rules.

I'll edit these rules into the first post, so that everyone should know what we're expecting.

And finally, here's my first video clip:

It took me a while to get that bloody platinum medal in the first drift event, so once I earned it, I was satisfied to the point of grabbing a clip of the winning run. I cut it off early because I kept holding my drifts to the point of oblivion, and not more than a second after the video stops, I sailed into the woods.

I'm not looking forward to when these drift events start getting really hard.

I'm playing to complete the dirt tour and to get ready for online. I'm playing on difficulty 4 and I'm happy with a 3rd place.

Here's my first clip. Was just messing with the uploader. Nothing major.  2500-ish point drift in slo-mo.
  

Got a couple more, just crashes really in the 1995 Subaru, the first I just clipped the little cliff thing and couldn't get away from it and ended up rolling. In the second I tried to be a bit greedy and cut the long corner but couldn't see when I was about to reach the road in the cockpit cam and just took off, very kind of the tree to stop me though.   

This is just from me doing a Rally Race, second Season bottom left triangle first rally. Was driving, and I hit a divot in the road, sending me into a barrel roll then ended in me in a catwalk and then cleanly driving away. Felt awesome, and I love how this game makes you feel amazing when you pull off cool stuff.

Here are a couple more I just did. Same challenge as my previous post, but the second race. Both the videos take place in the same race, and they both are those HOLY SHIT THIS IS GOING BAD, oh I got this nvm. Again, I just love how amazing this game makes you feel when something cool happens. First time I've been interested in the video stuff in a game for sure.
  

Things got a little crazy when I was in a buggy race.

I was hoping to jump over the leader for style points, and...well, that didn't quite work out as planned. At least I got past him shortly after my little ride.

So this was my "If in doubt, flat out" moment of yesterday, I messed up bad and just kept my foot down. Worked out pretty well I think. I'm not having much luck with the snow...

  My attempt at a Scandinavian Flick. (PC version btw)

Was just playing around in the free area and this happened. I thought it was kinda cool. 

I had a video of me doing a REALLY clean barrel roll but it had some issues and didn't go through right. That was at a friends, when I get my copy I'll totally throw a clip of me beign awful :D

I can already tell that it is going to be awesome watching videos of peoples perfect gymkhana runs

Still kinda sucks you can't save replays for online games :(

This isn't recorded with the built in thingy because 30 seconds really isn't enough. This is my best run so far in Gymkhana with all assists off.  One bump in the wall, I got greedy. :(

I nearly kill a bunch of people.
