Hold on i'm just cleaning my muddy vehicle
Colin Mcrae DiRT has been looking great from the trailers and it feels great too! From Codemasters who had recently made, lack of quality PURE, and also making GRID, it sticks to the 4 letter names. But this time it's far better than both of those games, you go through a pyramid of many events, that if you plpayed it straight would probably take you 3 hours to complete. It looks absoloutely great, the graphics are awesome, and so are the crashes. For once the computer drivers sometimes crash, whereas in most racing games, they have a super brain and never crash, but this time it's more realistic.
There are many modes to choose from in DiRT; Rally Raid, RallyCross, Crossover, Hill Climb, and Corr Suber Buggy. All of which seem to be amusing, especially go iup hill in a milk crate on hill climb looks fantastic! Though the lack of tracks lets it down a bit, while your playing through the career you seem to be doing the same tracks pver and over again. And it makes the pyramid feel repetitive. But if you don't want to go to the career, then you can do rally word, which is simply just a quick race. You can also do championships, which are VERY long, (But it's worth it because you get a lot of achievements/trophys).
Now onto the online, the problem is that you don't actually race against anyone, there never on the track with you, your always doing time trials by yourself, and it will just start to feel like single-player.
Finally there's the menu presentation. It's no wonder it won Menu of the year award. This is because it has large loading times, though you'll be occupied by your statistics from what you have done over your career and you won't get bored of that.
Overall DiRT Is a very good game, there could be some improvements here and there, but if you can see past them, it's probably Codemasters best game made.
