Epic Mickey just got a review from IGN, here it is -
Seems to be the only issues are the controls and camera, hopefully it will be ported to PS3, Xbox360 and PC to make this game even more fantastic.
What do you guys think?

@NekuSakuraba:
I must say I'm surprised Gamespot only gave it 6.0.
The Good
* Clever implementation of the Disney license
* Element of choice leads to some welcome unpredictability
The Bad
* Imprecise controls and an awful camera
* Repetitive and frustrating combat
* Tedious objectives lack originality
* Little direction throughout the adventure
* Repeatedly replaying boring levels isn't fun
Will be interesting to see Ryan's review this week.
Those things are kind of important in a 3D platformer."Seems to be the only issues are the controls and camera"
If mickey mouse wasn't in this game would anyone even care? Actually it may be better because they might be able to do voice actors then...
While I like the game, an 8 is generous. It's very, very average, and some of the fetch quests are just dumb. I'd give it a 5/10
"Dunno, man. Their view on the negatives far outweigh the positives.@NekuSakuraba:

I agree with IGN's review. I also think Game Informer's is very fair. The camera is very N64-ish, though I can guarantee that there are reviews exaggerating it's terrible-ness. It doesn't help that the game never explains it's lock on mechanic (hold C when you're hosing down an enemy, and tap C again to unlock), nor does it explain that double tapping the dpad directions will snap the camera around 45 degrees at a time (which is much faster).
The game has problems, and it begins slowly and horribly. But it does a ton right, especially from a first time developer. It also does a lot that no other platformer does; the paint/thinner mechanic is really cool once the training wheels come off and they start hiding more alternate routes and items behind the "toon material". And it never gets old avoiding fights by erasing the floor under your enemies' feet and watching them fall to their deaths. The fetch quests at the beginning of the game are atrocious too, but the quests later on have some serious effects on your moment-to-moment game. Freeing Pete Pan's fairy friend from Animatronic Captain Hook in the Skull Island stage for example is a quest you don't have to do, but IF you do it, you can skip the boss fight with Hook altogether and let Pete do it.
It is lacking as a platformer if you're comparing it to more focused stuff like Mario Galaxy or Donkey Kong Country Returns. But if you missed more exploration-based games like Banjo Kazooie, Epic Mickey is THAT kind of game. It's easily worth a play if you ask me, and can stand up next to other great platformers on the Wii, like Sonic Colors and Mario Galaxy. I was playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Majin: Forsaken Realm when I got Epic Mickey in the mail, and I've been ignoring them both to go through this game.
I highly suggest giving this a shot - at least, if not now, than getting it when it when it lowers price. Though you DO have to know that it's got some "jankiness" to it. And that, to get to the great stuff, you gotta slog through a really awful 1-3 hours of opening tutorials (which is also why, say, Giant Bomb's Quick Look looks uneventful). But if you're not a wuss who needs checkpoints every 10 feet, I say go for it. It gets really, really awesome once you start seeing levels like MickeyJunk Mountain.
Plus, you GOTTA support games like this. You can't just wait and see if it'll get ported to PS Move or something - publishers are looking at sales numbers NOW. If Epic Mickey fails miserably at retail, say hello to more games from Disney like "Disney SING IT: High School Musical 3 Edition" and goodbye to games like Split/Second, Epic Mickey and Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned:(
I'm kinda torn over picking this up now, or waiting for, I assume, the inevitable PS3 Move re-release.
Sticky camera's have always bothered me, but they are manageable. I'm a huge fan of Disney history, and when I saw Oswald as a main character in this game my brain popped out. Can't really make a general consensus yet for this game.

IGN has updated their review of Epic Mickey. They think it is the best game ever made and you should run right out to your local Gamestop and pick yourself up a copy. Hell, buy two and share with someone else!
