As the resident game enthusiast among my circle of people I spend time with and junk, I've been asked to evaluate the Wii version of the game. My...we'll call her sister-in-law wants to know if this game is worth keeping the Wii around for her young children for another Christmas or if it's significantly better on the PS3/360. Her kids have Skylanders for Wii and love it but now they're interested in Infinity which has all this fancy online stuff on the HD consoles. So how is the Wii version? Is it at least comparable?

As far as I know, the Wii version of the game doesn't have any of the online functionality that the other versions have. Rather, it appears to have a slightly different set-up for the Toy Box mode where you can unlock different types of Toy Boxes (driving, combat, etc.) and can customize those. Without the online functionality, you are limited to two-player local co-op (the other versions have up to 4-player online co-op) and you cannot upload or download Toy Box levels.

Bottom line: It is significantly better on the PS3, 360 and Wii U. If you have any of those systems, get one of those versions.
