    Overview

A maze-like area that can only be successfully traversed if the player knows exactly how to proceed. The consequence for not knowing the solution is usually either being placed back at the starting area or having to endlessly travel though a series of similar looking locations. A notable example of this is the Lost Woods from The Legend of Zelda series.

This concept is similar to that of a wraparound world. However, it differs, as it is intended to make the player feel as though they are lost if they do not know the solution.
